Work on conference continues apace. I made my first ever visit to Barrow in September, and was amazed by the awesome beauty of the location, the cozyness inside the buildings, the beautiful artwork all over town, and, most importantly of all, the friendly and welcoming people. If this is any indication of our reception at conference, we are in for a treat! We are working quickly to get travel and accommodations information available, so that you can take advantage of the current, low fares. In addition, we are completing arrangements for our invited speakers. We have an exciting lineup already, with Stephen Abram, Vice President for Innovation at Sirsi, presenting the Keynote Address and Joe Janes, Co-Founder of the Internet Public Library and currently at the University of Washington Information School, speaking at our Endnote Luncheon. Judith Krug, of the ALA Office for Intellectual Freedom will be joining us, and current ALA President, Carol Brey-Casiano, has agreed to come speak on advocacy and pay equity issues. Even more invited speakers are in the works, and will be announced when arrangements are finalized. As you can see, this conference will offer learning, fun and adventure. See you in Barrow! ~Freya Anderson, VP for Conference THANK YOU TO OUR SUPPORTERS
