<p class="MsoNormal">If you are a member of AKLA-A and would like a chance to

October 9th AkLA-A Meeting - Aviation Museum Tour

This month's meeting will be held on Thursday, October 9th at 4pm.<br />

Norm Legasse, the Aviation Museum's director, will be providing us<br />
with a tour of their exhibits. Afterwards we will also hold our<br />
business meeting at the museum. Norm mentioned that they have a<br />
potential volunteer library project they wanted to show us. Members<br />
are also welcome to stay at the museum for further exhibit viewing<br />
after our meeting.<br />

The Aviation Museum is located at 4721 Aircraft Dr.<br />

section of 10 librarians for the Anchorage Literacy Program's Biz Bee on Friday,
October 17th, at the Dena'ina Center from 6:30 - 10:00. Our table is

another table for ten for $100. The two tables would probably
not be situated together for the evening festivities. Before AkLA-A

Bynum and Stetson Momosor in cheering our spellers, Nancy Clark, Rick

Library and Get Free Food in Return!</span></font></b><br>Volunteers are needed
from 10am-3pm on Saturday, October 4th to conduct a door-to-door survey of
<st1:place w:st="on"><st1:city w:st="on">Mountain View</st1:city></st1:place>
residents for the Anchorage Public Library (rain or shine!). We need 15-20
volunteers. Volunteers will receive training and instruction on the project and
canvassing techniques. Volunteers need to be able to stand and walk for the
duration of the project and will need transportation to and from the Anchorage
Community Land Trust Offices at <st1:street w:st="on"><st1:address w:st="on">3142 Mountain View Drive</st1:address></st1:street>.<font face="Arial" color="blue" size="2"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; COLOR: blue; FONT-FAMILY: Arial"> </span></font>Food and
drinks are provided.<o:p></o:p></p>
