Subject: Nominations Open for Documents Roundtable Chair until June 27, 2008

Hi All,

I speak for everyone in my section when I say that while we are happy
for Anastasia in her new position, we are sorry to lose her from federal
documents. I'm also thankful for the time that she served as chair of
the Documents Roundtable.

Because Anastasia resigned as chair we need a new chair. Because her
unexpired term lasts until March 2010, I think it's best we hold an
election by e-mail. Anastasia ok'd this plan as one of her last acts as
Roundtable chair.

Following the patterns of previous elections, we will have a one week
nomination period followed by a one week election.

Sheri Somerville of the Alaska State Library has accepted nomination as
a candidate for Documents Roundtable Chair. Other Roundtable members are
encouraged to offer other nominations. Just check with the person you
intend to nominate before nominating him or her. I will accept
nominations until 5pm, June 27, 2008. On that date, I will send a second
message to the Roundtable that will have the ballot for chair. Then we
will be able to vote until Monday July 7, 2008 (Friday the 4th is a
holiday.)
