Election of Chair

February 21st 2008
Thanks to John for taking time to oversee the process of installing a
Chair for the next two years. I am glad to take on the job.
I am interested in communicating with other depository library folk
about digital preservation and availability of documents, promotion and
public use, and other issues that apply to government documents. I plan
to set up a meeting, via some format or other, in the near future. Feel
free to contact me about any items you want to address. In the mean
time, we also have a blog on which to post ideas and information, in
addition to our GODORT Web spot. The blog is at
http://informationhomestead.wordpress.com/. Also feel free to post on
the blog. I have been posting what grabs my attention that I am guessing
may be useful to the Gov. Doc.s Roundtable, or that I just have an
interest in and haven't necessarily seen on other government information
sources such as Free Government Information. The purpose of the blog is
to give us another venue for online discussions and information
exchange. Add what you like. Suggest whatever shape you want it to take.
By the way, I seem to have lost the links I put up on the blog, and will
look into putting them back. Does anyone have any suggestions for sites
we ought to link to?
Thanks,
Anastasia
