It was just announced that SIRLS received another Knowledge River grant.

Project Title: "Knowledge River II - Building Capacity for Diversity in
Library and Information Science Education"
Addressing the nation's need for librarians from diverse backgrounds,
especially those from the Hispanic and Native American communities, the
University of Arizona's School of Information Resources and Library
Science, along with its partners, will build upon the previously funded
Knowledge River Program to provide 48 scholarships to master's of library
science students. "Knowledge River II" will also embed diversity issues
across the entire curriculum, provide community service and outreach to
diverse communities locally and nationally, and develop faculty and
student research in issues of diversity within library and information
science.
