January 22nd 2008
The Association of Canadian Archivists is pleased to announce the
publication of ACA's Aboriginal Archives Guide. This wonderful resource
was created through a collaborative effort of the ACA's Special Interest
Section on Aboriginal Archives (SISAA). Key contributors to this
publication include SISAA members Edward Atkinson, Sheree Bonaparte,
Patricia Kennedy, Krisztina Laszlo, Wilma MacDonald, and Warren
Sinclair. The ACA is also grateful to the Canadian Council of Archives
(CCA) for providing funding during the process and to the Canadian
Church Historical Society of the Anglican Church of
supporting the a limited print publication of the booklet. An electronic
version of this document is freely available for download on the ACA
website at:
http://www.archivists.ca/publications/other_publications.aspx?id=461
.
Also freely available on the same webpage are guides to establishing
Business, Medical, and Municipal archives.
A limited number of printed copies of each guide are also available
through the ACA Office (aca@archivists.ca) at $2.00 plus applicable
postage.
