LS 590- Issues and Trends in Librarianship
Conference participants
can earn one graduate level, continuing education credit for
attending at least 15 hours of conference sessions.
This credit satisfies
the Alaska Department of Education requirements for recency
credits for certification renewal. It may not be used toward
a graduate degree in Library Science.
Sign up and pay
for the course when you register for the AkLA conference or
during the first day of the conference.
The course fee is
$100. Of that fee, $64 goes to the University of Alaska Anchorage,
and $36 goes directly to the AkLA Scholarship Fund.
Coursework requires
students to document and summarize sessions attended as well
as to write a 3-5 page paper (due after conference). See the
links below for more information and for examples of acceptable
work submitted for each requirement.
